2026 Sydney Comedy Revue

Designed as a celebration of Australian comedy during the festive season, the 2-hour spectacular at the iconic State Theatre, will feature an all-star line-up including comedy legend Vince Sorrenti, the incomparable Mary Coustas as Effie, satirical Wharf Revue stars Jonathan Biggins and Phil Scott, fan favourite Heath Franklin as Chopper, as well as acclaimed stand-up performers and rising stars Ting Lim, Cam Knight, Brandon Duff and Steve Philp.

And to ensure it’s on point, apart from delivering some of their all-time funniest material, each artist will also deliver their own take on incidents, events or people which made headlines during 2026.

VINCE SORRENTI
Vince Sorrenti has been making audiences laugh for more than four decades. A master storyteller and observational comic, Vince has headlined theatres, clubs and major events across Australia and internationally. Known for his quick wit, relatable humour and unmistakable Australian perspective, he remains one of the country’s most respected live performers.

MARY COUSTAS AS ‘EFFIE’
Mary Coustas is one of Australia’s most iconic comedy performers and the creator of the legendary character Effie Stephanidis. Since bursting onto television screens in the hit series Acropolis Now, Effie has become a cultural phenomenon, delighting generations of Australians with her razor-sharp observations, larger-than-life personality and uniquely Australian take on modern life.

JONATHAN BIGGINS & PHIL SCOTT
As the creative forces behind the acclaimed Wharf Revue, Jonathan Biggins and Phil Scott have spent more than two decades brilliantly skewering politics, current affairs and Australian culture. Biggins is an award-winning writer, director and performer, while Scott is an accomplished comedian, musician, actor and satirist. Together, they represent the gold standard of Australian political comedy and musical satire.

HEATH FRANKLIN’S ‘CHOPPER’
Armed with a moustache, sunglasses and zero political correctness, Heath Franklin’s portrayal of the late Mark ‘Chopper’ Read has become one of the most successful comedy characters in Australian entertainment.

BRANDON DUFF

CAM KNIGHT
Cam Knight is one of Australia’s most accomplished stand-up comedians, known for his energetic delivery, quick improvisation and hilarious audience interaction. STEVE PHILP
Steve Philp is a fan favourite on the live comedy circuit. TING LIM
One of the fastest-rising stars in Australian comedy, Ting Lim has earned a reputation for her intelligent, fearless and delightfully mischievous stand-up.
