Packed with stand-up, satire, and some of Australia’s most beloved comedians, the 2026 Sydney Comedy Revue promises a night of world-class entertainment and a fitting finale to the year.
Designed as a celebration of Australian comedy during the festive season, the 2-hour spectacular at the iconic State Theatre, will feature an all-star line-up including comedy legend Vince Sorrenti, the incomparable Mary Coustas as Effie, satirical Wharf Revue stars Jonathan Biggins and Phil Scott, fan favourite Heath Franklin as Chopper, as well as acclaimed stand-up performers and rising stars Ting Lim, Cam Knight, Brandon Duff and Steve Philp.
And to ensure it’s on point, apart from delivering some of their all-time funniest material, each artist will also deliver their own take on incidents, events or people which made headlines during 2026.

VINCE SORRENTI

MARY COUSTAS AS ‘EFFIE’
Mary Coustas is one of Australia’s most iconic comedy performers and the creator of the legendary character Effie Stephanidis. Since bursting onto television screens in the hit series Acropolis Now, Effie has become a cultural phenomenon, delighting generations of Australians with her razor-sharp observations, larger-than-life personality and uniquely Australian take on modern life.
JONATHAN BIGGINS & PHIL SCOTT
As the creative forces behind the acclaimed Wharf Revue, Jonathan Biggins and Phil Scott have spent more than two decades brilliantly skewering politics, current affairs and Australian culture. Biggins is an award-winning writer, director and performer, while Scott is an accomplished comedian, musician, actor and satirist. Together, they represent the gold standard of Australian political comedy and musical satire.
HEATH FRANKLIN’S ‘CHOPPER’
