Corporate Events
The State Theatre has the rare capability to stage events ranging from an annual general meeting for 2000 people in the Auditorium to a 250-person Cocktail function in our foyers. We also have the flexibility to host sit down dinners in our various spaces.
We have successfully worked with many of Australia's leading business to host a variety of functions and events including day meetings, product launches, press and media briefings, corporate dinners, award ceremonies, cocktail parties and annual general meetings.

The State Theatre has a long and illustrious history in entertaining generations of Sydneysiders. If you are seeking a spectacular venue in which to hold a party or social event, the theatre is an inspired choice.
The theatre proper offers magnificent areas such as the Grand Assembly and Auditorium. Imagine holding a cocktail party under the ornate dome of the Grand Assembly or for a truly spectacular dinner, the main stage with extensions is capable of seating 250 people.
If you are looking to hold a dinner, social or family reunion, cocktail party or themed dinner, our expert staff is happy to assist you at every stage of the event process.

The State Theatre itself is a truly romantic and mesmerising venue. Imagine hosting pre-dinner drinks on the Juliet Balcony and then descending the honey marble staircases where we can host up to 120 guests for a sumptuous sit down banquet in the Grand Assembly.
Exclusivity Due to the uniqueness of the State Theatre, we are able to offer you total exclusive use of the venue for your Wedding Reception if your are using the theatre proper.
