********* Melbourne, 3rd March, 2010: Andrew McManus Presents announce the postponement of the Huey Lewis & the News “Still Workin’ for a Livin'” tour. Due to recording commitments the band is unable to leave the U.S. at this time.
The group's ninth studio album, a tribute to Stax Records, is being recorded at Ardent Studios in Memphis and is in the final stages of production.
Andrew McManus and the band's management are working together to schedule new dates and venues and regret that we have to postpone this tour. For anyone who has bought tickets, they will still be valid for the rescheduled tour.**************************
One of the biggest bands in rock pop history, Huey Lewis & the News boast over 20 million album sales, two Grammy awards and an Academy Award nomination.
Since 1979, the band have consistently toured the world to prove the eighties never really died with hits such as “Power of Love”, “I Want a New Drug” and “Hip to Be Square” continually on the set list.
Special guests Richard Clapton and 1927 will join the tour on March 20 for selected shows.
ARIA Hall of Fame inductee, Richard Clapton is hailed as one Australia’s greatest singer songwriters, with a career spanning 37 years, Clapton has remained one of the most respected artists in Australian music, recently selling out his last Sydney State Theatre show in less than one hour.
Multi-platinum and ARIA award winning artist 1927 have recently reformed after a 16 year break and will join the tour to perform their greatest hits such as "That's When I Think of You" and “Compulsory Hero”.
